On May 11, Room 3 walked back to our vernal pool. The trees and plants were greener and the skunk cabbages were much larger. We saw fiddlehead ferns and a green frog floating near one of the footbridges with just its eyes above the water. We scooped a bowl of water up at the vernal pool, and saw all kinds of life–tadpoles, a larger swimming bug, and a tiny wiggling red worm.
